This knife should be on every hunters hip! It is great for game processing, but it also makes quick work of the tasks around the campsite and in backwoods. The blade is hand forged from 52-100 ball bearing steel, with a 4-3/4" cutting edge. OAL 9" The cutting edge is convex, designed to hold its edge and stay sharp, requiring minimal effort to maintain while out in the field. I left the forge marks on the flats, then finished off the blade with a hand rubbed satin finish. The tang has been tapered to reduce weight and improve ergonomics of the handle. Completing the package are a gorgeous set of stabilized Tiger Maple scales with thick ivory paper micarta liners, with nickel silver pins.
This knife comes with a matching custom handcrafted sheath, made from Hermann Oak leather. Dyed Java Brown and hand carved with maple leaves and antiqued house to accent the handle of the is gorgeous knife. Saddle stitched using Havana Cigar colored Ritza Tiger thread (waxed, braided-poly), then topped with Montana Pitch Blend to offer nourishment along with stain and water resistance to your sheath.
